When the Paris Saint-Germain fans travelled to Scotland to watch their side thump Celtic 4-0 at Celtic Park, things could have turned ugly, but instead, there was nothing but respect between the two sets of supporters, with scarves and handshakes being exchanged at the end of the game.

After all, trying to kick Kylian Mbappé aside, there’s a reason why the Scottish Premiership club’s followers were voted the best fans in the world by FIFA recently, and the French side’s ultras are, according to Le Parisien, ready to show their appreciation for their Scottish counterparts.

In their Wednesday edition, the French newspaper state the Paris Saint-Germain fans will deploy a banner during the Champions League clash between the two sides in the French capital ‘to pay homage’ to the Celtic fans.

Furthermore, Le Parisien expiain that while only 2200 Celtic supporters managed to get tickets for the game, ‘several thousand’ more will travel to the Paris for the game, according to police sources.

They are expected to congregate in bars around Chatelet-les-Halles, Grands Boulevard and Boulevard de Clichy, and although Celtic fans aren’t expected to cause any trouble, they will still be closely monitored, just in case.
