Italian journalist Massimiliano Nebuloni is currently at Milan’s Malpnesa airport, report Gazzetta dello Sport’s Inter offshoot.
Inter Milan’s Tuesday flight to China is getting a lot more attention than it would normally have, with Ivan Perisic’s future up in the air. Manchester United have been linked with the player all summer, and going to China or not has been seen as symbolic.
Perisic arrived at Inter’s training centre this morning, and Nebuloni has told Sky Italia that the winger will travel to China.
It’s explained that ‘despite the rumours from England’, no offer has arrived from Manchester United for Perisic. It isn’t made clear if that means an offer at any time, or a new offer, we’d probably side with the latter.
Perisic going to China doesn’t kill his potential move to Manchester United, but does make it logistically harder, and shows a transfer hasn’t been agreed.
The plane is set to leave at 3.30pm, and, right now, Perisic is expected to be on it.
