Leeds United are moving forward in their quest to sign Weston McKennie from Juventus, the Italian media says.

The latest update on this pursuit comes from TuttoMercatoWeb, who now claim that talks between the clubs have been ‘proceeding positively’.

It’s pointed out McKennie already gave his ‘approval’ to the move, and now waits for the Whites and Juventus to find common-ground in negotiations.

TMW claims a deal could be found for around €25m, but for now, the clubs have different assessments of how much the player is worth.

It’s recalled that Leeds are not the only Premier League club willing to sign McKennie, since Arsenal’s interest has not gone. Still, the Whites are the ‘most interested’ side.

Earlier on Wednesday, it had already been reported by the Italian media that Leeds had a ‘general understanding’ with the midfielder over a contract, and would now work to get a deal with Juventus.

The Old Lady seem eager to let McKennie go, but only for the right price, and that’s the challenge to be overcome in these current talks.
