Some days ago, Nottingham Forest were mentioned as a potential suitor for Udinese striker Lorenzo Lucca.
While AC Milan were described as a likelier candidate for the Italian, the Tricky Trees were seen as a concrete competitor for the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old has been receiving a lot of media attention in Italy over the past few weeks due to his impressive goalscoring tally of 10 Serie A goals. He spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport about his time at Udinese so far and his future.
The Italy international was asked whether he would entertain another experience abroad, having played at Ajax.
He said, hinting that he would be open to potentially joining Nottingham Forest: “It makes no difference. I have grown physically, technically and mentally.
“Abroad I see more goals, Serie A is difficult but it is a challenge that gives me adrenaline. I am the master of my destiny.
Oozing confidence, the Italian also spoke about his development at Udinese so far and claimed: “Continue working calmly, stay calm.
“And I must not put pressure on myself. I have to think about improving myself as I have done so far, with the trust of Udinese who two years ago were the first to believe in me after a difficult year.”
Lucca is into his second season at Udinese and his numbers have only grown since last season, when he scored eight goals.
He is clearly developing consistently and considering how Nottingham Forest have a more stable environment than before, a move to the City Ground can help him further his development.
If Nuno Espirito Santo’s side qualify for Europe, that will prove to be more tempting for the tall striker, who is growing popular in Italy quickly.
