The race for Kevin De Bruyne is very much underway and Aston Villa are firmly in the mix for the Manchester City icon.
That’s according to La Repubblica, relayed by Calcio Napoli 24, who provide various details on the clubs chasing the Belgian today.
Napoli are one of the ones in the mix and the newspaper reports that a two-year contract with an option of a third years is ready for the Belgian midfielder in Naples.
Saudi Arabia are also keen, and have been since last summer, but at this moment in time he De Bruyne is not very attracted to the idea of a move to the Middle East.
In England, Aston Villa have been trying to convince him on a move to Villa Park ‘for some time’ according to the newspaper. Theirs is no mention of Liverpool, despite that being a theme this week.
Then there is Galatasaray, who are ‘ready to go crazy’ to get De Bruyne when he leaves Manchester City this summer. They are offering a four-year contract at over €6m net per season.
They have fellow Belgian Dries Mertens in their squad, who will surely be playing his part in trying to convince him.
For now, the competition for the Manchester City hero is wide open, and Aston Villa are one of the sides lining up and trying to convince him.
