Felix Wiedwald to Leeds United is pretty much done, reports the latest issue of German magazine Kicker.

Tucked deep inside their Thursday edition, Kicker claim, according to their own information, that Wiedwald will sign for Leeds. The 27 year old will be allowed to move to the Championship club, and Werder Bremen won’t stand in his way.

As for the transfer fee, Kicker say it’s ‘well under €1m’.

There’s no indication when Wiedwald will be having a Leeds United medical, but this one is just a matter of when rather than if, as far as Kicker are concerned.

Weser Kurier take it a step further and suggest Wiedwald could sign for Leeds United today, but they make that clear that’s them guessing and they’re basing it on information provided from elsewhere.

Whilst Weser Kurier credit Bild, they got that wrong, meaning to say Kicker instead. Even the German media make mistakes.

Felix Wiedwald will be arriving at Elland Road expecting to be first choice. He had a year left on his contract with Werder Bremen, but it had been due to expire this summer, with a single year extension in April allowing the German club to get a transfer fee.
