SabahSpor report Konyaspor left back Barry Douglas continues to be a target for both Celtic and Wolves.

Celtic’s Brendan Rodgers and Wolves’ Nuno Espírito Santo have both been credited with interest in the player who joined Konyaspor from Lech Poznan.

Konyaspor president Ahmet San has revealed the Turkish club have been unable to reach an agreement with Celtic.

He was quoted by Konyaspor Gazetesi as saying: “Barry wants to leave, that’s true. But we are unable to agree on a deal with Celtic. Wolves are ready to pay what we want for him, and he’s likely to join that team for next season. We wish him the best for the future.”

This could mean that Celtic have completely lost out to Wolves, or Konyaspor could instead be sending a public message to Celtic Park, encouraging the Scottish Premiership club to offer more.

These claims have also been backed up in the British media, with reports Wolves are prepared to pay £1m to sign Douglas, and that the 27 year old is keen for a return to the UK.
