West Ham United manager David Moyes has come in for criticism in Serbia after he ‘humiliated’ upcoming opponents TSC.

That’s according to Republika, who say the West Ham manager’s comments on the Serbian side at a press conference are being construed as slightly disrespectful.

West Ham take on TSC to kick off their Europa League campaign this evening in a group that also contains Freiburg and Olympiacos.

While the German and Greek sides are well known to most people, and thus easier to analyse, the same cannot be said of their Serbian counterparts, who play in a significantly less known league.

This was something the West Ham boss pointed out in his press conference for the game, explaining that it is “a little more difficult” to evaluate their opponents as getting information on a Serbian team was not an easy task.

That’s seemingly not gone down well with TSC or the press in Serbia, though, where Republika say that Moyes ‘humiliated’ the club with his comments.

Indeed, they seem to have stirred up the feelings in Serbia and it’s believed that TSC will want to ‘give everything’ to prove themselves against West Ham and secure a famous result.

Whether that actually happens remains to be seen and we’re sure Moyes wasn’t being deliberately disrespectful with his comments either, but the hornets’ nest might have been accidentally kicked regardless.
