Sabah report Tottenham Hotspur may have to wait until the summer to sign Fenerbahce forward Vedat Muriqi after making an offer for the player.

Muriqi has been impressive for Fenerbahce since the start of the season and he’s subsequently been linked with a move to the Premier League, with claims Tottenham have been watching his performances closely.

As reported earlier this week, the Turkish newspaper say Spurs have officially contacted Fenerbahce with regards to signing Muriqi, but the Yellow Canaries have rejected their offer.

However, it’s claimed Fenerbahce’s stance could change in the summer as they may be tempted to sell him at the end of the season.

According to Sabah, the Kosovo international is aware of the interest from Tottenham and has told the Super Lig club’s board he will remain focused for the rest of the campaign.

Muriqi has scored 11 goals for Fener this season and will be a key player as his side look to challenge for the Super Lig title.
