On November 15th, SportBild reported Eintracht Frankfurt have Brighton & Hove Albion’s Pascal Groß on their transfer agenda. It was also said their sporting director Markus Krösche is a big fan of the Germany international.
A day later, the 32-year-old said the Bundesliga side have done “very well” in recent years but insisted he’s not aware of their interest in him.
Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg took to X, formerly Twitter, to provide the latest on Eintracht Frankfurt’s pursuit of the Brighton star.
He says ‘there is contact’ as the German club have enquired about the midfielder, who can also operate on both sides of defence.
Eintracht Frankfurt would ‘like to get him’ next summer but Plettenberg claims a deal is ‘not realistic’ as of now, because of his salary and the fee needed to convince Roberto De Zerbi’s side for the transfer.
That doesn’t mean the German side are going to give up on the versatile player as they will continue to monitor his situation at The Amex.
Groß has scored three goals and registered an assist from 14 games this season.
⚠️ News Pascal #Groß: Yes, Eintracht Frankfurt has inquired about the 32 y/o. There is contact as #SGE would like to get him next summer.
➡️ But at this stage it’s not realistic because of salary & transfer fee
