Inter Milan could rekindle their interest in Chelsea’s Benoît Badiashile.
That’s at least what InterLive.it are reporting, and they say the Serie A side looked at him in the summer window.
Badiashile was a ‘concrete idea’ for Inter, but they didn’t open talks with Chelsea.
The Nerazzurri feel the centre-back would fit into the system employed by Simone Inzaghi at the San Siro. The report says the ‘operation is not so simple’ to carry out.
Chelsea invested around €38m to sign the defender from AS Monaco in January 2023. He is yet to cement his place at the west London club, partly due to injuries.
Badiashile has a long-term contract until 2030, but he could leave the Premier League side next summer. His valuation has dropped due to his current situation at the club.
InterLive.it state the Frenchman is valued at €20-25m, and interested clubs can pay this fee to sign him.
Inter’s Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi have deals expiring in 2025. They will need to bring in a new centre-back next summer.
Badiashile’s profile would ‘fit perfectly’ into the Italian champions’ requirements for a centre-back. His age and asking price are other factors that could make him attractive for Inter.
