Sections of Bodø/Glimt fans are facing heartache this evening after being scammed for tickets for the clash against Tottenham.

That’s according to TV2, who cover comments from Bodø/Glimt media manager Simen Pedersen on the matter.

Bodø/Glimt host Tottenham today in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final clash, with Ange Postecoglou’s side leading 3-1 from the first leg at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. B

Bodø/Glimt, though, have been strong at home this season, seeing off several European sides already, and are confident of doing so again in this game.

Ticket demand for the second leg clash against Tottenham has been huge, with it very much considered Bodø/Glimt’s biggest game in their history.

Over 50,000 lined up to secure tickets and with just 8,200 available, plenty were left disappointed. That led some fans to turn to third-party options, paying higher prices to one individual in particular.

This individual, though, did not have access to tickets and has essentially scammed a large number of fans out of considerable sums of money.

It’s an issue that Bodø/Glimt are aware of, with Pedersen warning any fans looking to get Tottenham tickets to go through the club or only buy from people they know like friends and family.

“It’s awful. I understood that someone has paid quite a lot of money,” he said.

“It is incredibly sad. We are trying to do our best to inform people to buy tickets through Glimt or via friends and acquaintances.

“It is difficult, because the person who allegedly sold these tickets did not have any tickets in our system. Unfortunately, that is not something we can control. The only thing we can recommend is not to buy tickets anywhere other than glimt.no.

“It is a great shame, because there are probably many who think they will definitely go to the match, but they will not.”

Presumably there’s a chance some Tottenham supporters have also bought tickets from the same third party.
