On Monday, we relayed an article from Tuttosport explaining that while Juventus weren’t worried per se about losing out on Emre Can, the longer the German went without signing for the Serie A club, the more chance other clubs had of coming in and stealing him from right under their nose.

The Liverpool midfielder was apparently wanting to wait until the end of the season before putting pen to paper with a new club, preferring to focus on his football for the time being as the Reds pick up form in both the Champions League and the Premier League.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday report that Juventus, rather than sitting there idly and twiddling their thumbs, are taking matters into their own hands and have set up a meeting next week with the Liverpool star’s entourage.

Giving his word to the Serie A side that he wouldn’t listen to any other offers, Can’s agent has stuck to it, yet no contract has been signed.

This is why Juventus want to have a tête-à-tête with him, just to ensure he doesn’t get swayed by other clubs who are circling around the free transfer.

That sounds a lot like them being worried, if you ask us.
