According to Gunes, Galatasaray have identified Kasımpasa’s Trezeguet as the player to replace Newcastle United target Garry Rodrigues.

It’s claimed Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim is a huge admirer of the Anderlecht owned attacker, who’s been impressing this season for Turkish Super Lig side Kasımpasa.

Gunes say Terim has advised the Galatasaray board to sign Trezeguet, as the club prepare for the possible departure of Garry Rodrigues.

The Turkish newspaper report Galatasaray are ready to pay €3m to Anderlecht for the Egypt international.

Rodrigues has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with Newcastle United already tabling two bids for the Cape Verde international.

Latest reports in Turkey suggest Newcastle United or any other interested clubs would have to offer €20m
