AC Milan are categorically not interested in a move for Everton midfielder James Rodriguez on deadline day of the transfer window.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say the Colombian is not a target for the Rossoneri despite reports saying otherwise.
We covered a claim from ESPN journalist Vito de Palma that Milan had set up a free transfer for Rodriguez, and he would be joining in a ‘bombshell’ deal tomorrow after a summer of being linked with a move away.
It seems, though, his information may have been wide of the mark. According to TMW, the Everton man is not a target for the Serie A side.
They say Milan have ‘nipped the James Rodriguez dream in the bud’, stating that, despite him being linked by ESPN, it won’t be happening.
According to them, there is ‘no way’ that move will be happening as the Serie A giants are not working to Stefano Pioli’s in that area of the pitch.
Indeed they are going out of their way to put an end to the rumours, ‘letting it be known unoffically’ that El Bandido is not a target for them at the moment.
That would seemingly put an end to any transfer rumours for now, with Everton needing to find somewhere else to send him before tomorrow’s deadline.
