Go Ahead Eagles striker Victor Edvardsen has insisted he’s happy where he is after a failed move to Barnsley in the summer transfer window.
De Stentor have an interview with the 29-year-old striker today in which his failed move to Barnsley get’s a brief mention.
He’s been with Go Ahead Eagles since a €700,000 move from Djurgården in July 2023 after a career previously spent in Sweden and Denmark.

That was enough to convince Barnsley, and the Championship side were keen on a move in the summer transfer window as they looked to bolster their squad.
De Stentor report that Edvardsen was already at the club and ready to sign his contract with them before it ultimately collapsed and he himself decided to return to Deventer.
That proved to be a smart choice as he’s managed seven goals and five assists in 29 games this season, including recently impressing in clashes with PSV Eindhoven.
Go Ahead Eagles are certainly pleased he never ended up at Barnsley after-all and he insists he is more than happy with his decision.
“This is my home, and I am very happy to be here,” he said.
“The trust of the staff and the club is also very important. If you gain the trust of the staff, it is easier for me to perform. Paul (Simonis) and I had a lot of arguments in the beginning, but we talked it out and now it is great.”
