Ajax and ADO Den Haag will be following the situation around Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk this summer as they look to benefit from a €30m deal.
That’s according to Football Transfers in the Netherlands, who say both clubs will be closely following the Leeds United defender as they could benefit from a sale.
A report this week stated that Feyenoord were eyeing a deal for the Netherlands centre-back, while Tottenham have also been credited with an interest.
That same report had Leeds valuing the defender at around €30m and Ajax and ADO Den Haag are hoping that will be the sale price.
That’s because the ‘cash register will also ring’ for them after Struijk spent ten years in ADO’s youth academy and then a year and a half with Ajax’s football academy. He then moved on to Leeds and enjoyed his breakthrough.
ADO would be due €450,000 and the Amsterdammers would collect around €300,000 from a €30m deal. Whether Feyenoord would pay that fee is doubtful, though.
Dutch clubs are hardly big spenders and given the top 11 arrivals in the history of the Eredivisie all belong to Ajax, it seems unlikely Feyenoord would pay such a fee. In fact, their record spend I €8.3m on Dávid Hancko in 2022.
A lower fee seems more realistic for Struijk if he is to leave, if Leeds do even want to sanction an exit from Elland Road this summer.
