Fanatik claim Besiktas are interested in Aston Villa goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland as they look to bring in a replacement for Loris Karius this summer.
Besiktas previously announced the Liverpool loanee won’t be staying beyond this season and will return to Liverpool once his two-year spell ends with the Turkish club.
They are reportedly looking at other alternatives to the German, and the Norwegian goalkeeper is said to be one of the options they are currently considering.
The Super Lig side have also been linked with the their former keeper Fabri, who could look to leave Fulham at the end of the season.
Villa signed Nyland in 2018 from German side Ingolstadt and the player made 23 appearances in the Championship last season.
In this campaign the 29 year old has mainly been used as a deputy to Tom Heaton and then Pepe Reina, but still impressed when called upon.
Nyland has made eight appearances for the Premier League side this season and his contract at Villa Park will expire at the end of June 2021. Given the contract situation, Aston Villa will need to make a decision on the player’s future this summer.
