With Juventus now pushing to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea, it seems the Bianconeri are about to have a meeting for the 30-year-old’s transfer.

La Stampa, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, features a piece claiming that in the ‘next few hours’, Old Lady’s director Cristiano Giuntoli ‘will travel’ to London.

The Juventus chief has just returned from the United States, where they’re having their pre-season, and will now speak to Chelsea about Lukaku.

The Blues are said to be requesting €40m foe the transfer, and the Bianconeri’s idea is to get a loan with a buying option.

Juventus are said to be very calm about the situation, especially because Dusan Vlahovic is still in their squad, and the centre-forward place will only be vacant once the Serbian leaves.

That’s a very good argument for the Old Lady to just test the ground with Chelsea for now, and understand how likely this transfer will be.

Reports from Italy have been saying that Lukeku doesn’t want to move to Saudi Arabia, and with Serie A clubs not willing to match the Blues’ demands, they’re slowly approaching the situation.
