The Italian media is having some different information on what Inter Milan’s plans for Cedric Soares are.

With the player loaned to the Serie A side until the end of the season, the Nerazzurri have the chance to get him permanently from Southampton for a fee of €11m in the summer.

Earlier this week, website Tutto Mercato Web claimed it wouldn’t happen. They said Cedric Soares is only considered to be a quick fix for Inter, who needed a substitute for their injured players.

They’ve said the club would look for other options in the summer market, letting Cedric return to Southampton without even considering the chance to buy him.

However, Calcio Mercato comes up with another possibility. Although they don’t say the purchase will happen, they state it may be done in case Cedric impresses during the season.

They make it clear the player will have to prove himself in the next few months, and in case Inter become convinced he’s worth the €11m, then they will pay.

Either way, the power is all at Inter.
