Besiktas are ‘close to signing’ Everton’s Dele Alli on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

That’s according to A Spor journalist Sercan Dikme, who says the Turkish side are close to finalising a deal for the Everton man.

Alli only joined Everton in the January transfer window, signing on an original free transfer from Tottenham in an effort to get his career back on track.

That deal would see Everton pay Tottenham once the player reached a certain amount of games, with added bonuses potentially taking it to £40m down the line.

Alli has not been able to reignite the spark on Merseyside, though, with just flashes of his old brilliance rather than a resurgence.

Indeed, he has started this season on the bench, with Frank Lampard preferring other options ahead of him against Chelsea and Aston Villa.

It seems he is now ready to let Alli depart, albeit temporarily, with Dikme reporting that Besiktas are ‘close to signing’ the midfielder on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.

Fanatik journalist Gokmen Ozcan backs this up with further information, stating that the loan deal is a free one and the clubs are working on the final details of the purchase option.

The two clubs are working to keep this figure as low as possible and Alli has also given the ‘green light’ to the transfer, which means this Everton departure could be finalised quickly.
