Barcelona have asked Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin ‘to wait until the end of the month’ as they eye up a late move for him.

That’s according to Sport, who explain Barcelona manager Xavi is hoping to add a right-back to his squad before the window closes.

They have various options on their list but the one that is ‘gaining momentum’ is Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin.

In fact, they have asked the player to wait for the club to make their move and every day that passes makes him the ‘most viable option’, according to the team led by Mateu Alemany.

They had initially preferred Juan Foyth but Villarreal’s refusal to negotiate and determination for any side to pay his €42m clause has practically ended that option.

The same can be said of Borussia Dortmund’s Thomas Meunier, with the German side asking for a price that Barcelona are not willing to pay.

Thus, they have turned to Bellerin, who would be available on a free transfer as he is negotiating the termination of his contract with Arsenal.

That makes him an interesting option for Barcelona and the idea of bringing him back to the Nou Camp ‘is growing’.
