Borussia Dortmund are ‘working on’ a transfer for Jude Bellingham’s younger brother Jobe, which could be a boost to their chances of keeping the highly-rated midfielder.

That’s according to SportBILD chief reporter Sven Westerschulze, who says having his brother in Germany could be an incentive for Jude to stay in Germany longer.

The Borussia Dortmund midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from the club for the last few months following his impressive rise since his arrival from Birmingham City.

Liverpool are thought to be one of his main admirers, and reports about a move next summer have been plentiful, particularly with Bellingham continuing to shine this season.

The prospect of that happening has been dismissed in Germany, with it stated that Dortmund don’t want to lose their man, nor does Bellingham want a move away at this point.

Indeed a report from SportBILD yesterday covered the topic in-depth and added that Dortmund might look to sign Jude’s younger brother Jobe, who is currently rising through the ranks at Birmingham City.

Now it seems they’ve made a definite decision to do so, with Westerschulze reporting that they are ‘working’ on a deal with Birmingham for the youngster.

He states that they consider Jobe a ‘talent with potential’ and want to sign him because of that.

The move could have a ‘nice side effect’, though, as it would reunite the Bellingham family in one place and therefore give Jude a greater incentive to stay at Dortmund for the long term.
