Leicester City and Leeds United are chasing PEC Zwolle’s Anselmo García MacNulty for the summer transfer window.
Last summer, the centre-back joined the Eredivisie side on a free transfer and has starred in his debut season, managing a goal and two assists 29 appearances.
Tuesday’s edition of AS states he’s having an ‘excellent season’ at PEC Zwolle and his fine displays have attracted the attention of Leicester, Leeds and other clubs.
The Championship duo and Club Brugge are among the teams that have the 21-year-old on their agenda.
Leicester and Leeds have been fighting for direct promotion to the Premier League. The Foxes have already secured it, but not the Whites. The latter are in second spot, level on points with third placed Ipswich Town, who have a game in hand.
It’s claimed both Enzo Maresca’s side and Leeds are looking at the Spain-born Republic of Ireland U21 international to bolster their defence next season.
AS say his contract expires in 2026 and Transfermarkt value him at €1m. It’s likely that PEC Zwolle would demand a fee higher than that if they decide to part ways with MacNulty, and a reminder that Transfermarkt valuations are often way off reality.
