Everton have already made their attempt to sign Wilfred Ndidi. according to claims on Monday.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri writes on Twitter that the Toffes are trying to ‘anticipate the competition’ there is for the Leicester City player, and he’s ‘already received a proposal’ from them.
Ndidi’s contract with the Foxes expires at the end of the season, and a big battle is expected to land him as a free agent.
Tavolieri points out that ‘several clubs are already working’ to land him, and it seems Everton are working to arrive first.
It’s made clear, however, that Ndidi is still to choose his next destination, and there’s no mention of his opinion about a potential move to Goodison Park.
Recent reports from the Italian media had already claimed that the likes of Everton, West Ham United and Crystal Palace were all ‘ready to move’ for Ndidi this summer, with Juventus also interested in him.
So it does make sense that the Toffees are trying to convince him before more bids arrive at the table. His entourage should be aware of all that interest, though, so we shall see if he’ll accept a destination so soon.
