The Portuguese media continues to have a lot to say about Chelsea’s chase for Enzo Fernandez.

The biggest story today is the one from newspaper A Bola, who claims that the midfielder is missing tonight’s match against Portimonense.

According to the outlet, this is not a punishment for him having missed training sessions, since that will be fixed with a fine.

It’s said he’s not playing because of his mental condition, as he’s been too shaken up by the recent events.

Regarding the talks with Chelsea, A Bola claims Benfica president Rui Costa is not changing his mind, and is only letting Fernandez go if his €120m release clause is triggered, especially now that he knows the Blues have an agreement with the player.

A Bola even mentions that since Fernandez wants to play for the Stamford Bridge side, that could make things harder for the London club to fully back down on their word with the player, which is what could still make that transfer happen.

The report says Chelsea already raised their €90m offer to €100m, although that was obviously not enough.

It’s said they also put on the table the transfer of Hakim Ziyech, but his salary is considered to be too much for Benfica.
