On December 30th, Vermouth Deportivo explained Manuel Lanzini has received offers to leave West Ham United in the winter market.

It was also reported the 29-year-old doesn’t favour a move back to River Plate.

Fichajes.net state otherwise as they insist the West Ham player wouldn’t be against the the possibility of returning to his former club and become a key part of Martín Demichelis’ plans at River Plate.

It’s claimed that in the ‘last hours’, the Buenos Aires club have ‘begun to move with the intention of closing’ the deal for the attacking midfielder.

They have started to carry out surveys to find out the Hammers’ willingness to let him leave in January.

Lanzini has less than six months left on his deal and has no intention of signing an extension at West Ham. The South American club want to take advantage of this when negotiating with David Moyes’ side.

River Plate ‘intend’ to convince West Ham to let the Argentine leave for a low price or even on a loan deal in January.

It remains to be seen whether River Plate can convince West Ham to sign Lanzini in the current window.
