Chelsea and Barcelona have so far failed to find an agreement for the transfer of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The La Liga side are working to get rid of their players and the 33-year-old’s sale can help them raise funds and also get him off their wage bill. His exit will help the club carry out more signings like that of Marcos Alonso.

Sport say the left-back is ‘precisely one of the points’ of disagreement between Barca and Chelsea over a deal for the forward.

The Blues want to include Alonso as part of the deal for Aubameyang, while the Catalan club want to treat them as two separate operations.

In order to ‘advance the negotiations’ for the Gabon international, the newspaper states a new meeting between Thomas Tuchel’s side and the Spanish giants is ‘planned today’.

Barca have refused their initial offer of €15m plus €5m bonuses. Chelsea have ‘increased their proposal’ to €20m excluding bonuses. Unfortunately for the west London club, it is still considered insufficient by the Camp Nou side.

Time is running out and the two clubs will have to find a compromise, if they wish to carry out a deal for Aubameyang.
