Cardiff City make ‘official offer’ to sign defender – Have now ‘started negotiations’ with player himself

Following claims that Cardiff City had taken an interest in Fenerbahçe defender Lincoln Henrique, the Championship side have now made their move.

The news comes from Yağız Sabuncuoğlu on X, formerly Twitter, who took to the social media platform to announce that the Bluebirds had made an ‘official offer’ for the Brazilian.

The 25-year-old, who was signed by the Turkish side in 2022 has failed to make an appearance in the Süper Lig this season, and this lack of game time opened a door for Cardiff City.

They have stuck their foot in it and are in the process of trying to sign the former Santa Clara man, who originally started his career at Grêmio in Brazil.

The amount of Cardiff’s offer has yet to be revealed, but Yağız Sabuncuoğlu does add the Welsh club have also ‘started negotiations’ with the player, presumably to work out what his personal terms would be and his demands.

We’ll keep an eye out for anymore updates here, but it seems Cardiff could soon be getting a new left-back if all goes to plan.
