Brentford have something drawing their scouts to Portugal, according to the latest local reports.

As newspaper O Jogo today covers FC Porto’s 2-0 win over SC Braga, they feature a list of clubs who sent officials to that match.

Brentford are one of them, along with several other Premier League sides who had something to look at.

O Jogo doesn’t have any details of footballers who may have drawn the Bees’ attention, and they haven’t been linked to any targets from those clubs recently.

What is interesting is that back in December, Brentford had already been reported to have a scout at Braga. On that occasion, they saw the Arsenalistas’ 3-1 win over Vizela.

If we compare both line-ups, there are over eight players who took part in both of Braga matches, and it sounds pretty plausible that the Bees have an eye on some of them.

With Braga losing last night’s match, there weren’t many positive notes to take, apart from the performances from José Fonte and André Horta.

We should now keep an eye on the Portuguese media and see if Brentford will go for any Braga players in the upcoming windows.
