On January 9th, AS reported Real Sociedad dream of signing Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Pablo Sarabia in the January window.

The La Liga side are in the market for an attacker, after allowing Mohamed-Ali Cho to seal a move to OGC Nice earlier this month.

A fresh report from AS claims La Real are aiming to sign two attackers and have already identified a few targets, including the Wolves player.

Real Sociedad sporting director Roberto Olabe is in Japan and talks could intensify once he returns from his trip. The San Sebastian club are aiming to take a player on loan and they don’t consider a purchase option to be essential.

The Wolves player is represented by Jorge Mendes and the Spanish club have held talks with the super-agent.

It’s said the Spain international is a very popular target at Real Sociedad, but they can’t proceed with the operation because they believe the cost of the deal is too high.

Sarabia was restricted to 78 minutes of action from three league games for Wolves between September and November, before Gary O’Neil started giving him opportunities last month.

The 31-year-old has repaid his manager’s faith and has managed three assists from the last five league games.
