Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot has not been having the best time, both on and off the pitch.
The midfielder’s contract at Parc des Princes expires at the end of the season and he’s already informed the Ligue 1 winners that he won’t sign an extension.
He last featured for Thomas Tuchel’s side in December, which is bad on the pitch. Off the pitch lost two family members recently, but it looks like Barcelona and the Catalan media have not been taking this into account.
On February 8th, Mundo Deportivo reported the 23-year-old ‘does not give signs’ he wants to join Barcelona and his decision to stay silent has surprised the Spanish champions.
Journalist Miguel Rico, writing on the last page of the same publication claims that so far, no one ‘dares to confirm’ the outcome of the Blaugrana’s negotiations with the PSG contract rebel, which went on for several months in 2018.
Due to this reason, Ernesto Valverde’s side have ‘categorically’ discarded Rabiot as they have ruled out signing him on a free transfer since Barcelona are ‘tired of waiting.
The frustration from Barca could be down to Rabiot and his camp not responding to Barcelona in the desperate way they would hope.
