Pontus Jansson has told the Swedish media discussions are still ongoing over his permanent move to Leeds United. The 25 year old is currently on loan with the Championship side from Torino.
“I know the clubs are in discussions, so we’ll see what happens. My agent takes care of all that, so I can concentrate on football. My time in Italy was good for my development, but it feels like I’ve found things right now in England. It’s the kind of football that suits me best. I play every game and I’m important for the team,” said the Leeds United loanee.
Jansson has formed a solid partnership with Kyle Bartley at the heart of Leeds United’s defence, and the Swede has become a cult hero with the Elland Road faithful.
It’s been reported Leeds United can purchase Jansson for as little as £3.4m after the defender played his twentieth game for the club over the Christmas period.
