Aksam claim Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal is behind the Turkish club’s pursuit of Swansea City midfielder Leroy Fer.

This week there have been reports emerging from Italy that Fenerbahce have held talks with Swansea City to sign the player, and Aksam now report Yanal is keen to work with the Dutchman.

According to Aksam, Yanal is impressed with Fer’s versatility and believes he could be an important player for the Turkish giants if he joins before Thursday’s deadline.

It’s also reported Fer is looking to leave Swansea City in order to join the Istanbul club and talks between the two sides are progressing quickly, with an agreement said to be close.
