Sevilla president José María del Nido Carrasco considers Bournemouth striker Enes Ünal as the ‘key piece’ to strengthen the club in the January transfer window.
That’s according to Orgullo Biri, who say that ‘negotiations are underway’ with Bournemouth but their €10m asking price will be an issue.
They report that Sevilla are targeting Ünal as their ‘star signing’ for the January transfer widow as he’s barely featuring for Bournemouth.
The growing belief is that a departure from the Cherries could be key to reviving his career and a return to La Liga would be a viable option. Sevilla see him as the solution to strengthen their attack.
The hope is that he would arrive and catapult them up the table, with goals proving to be an issue this season.
Sevilla president José María del Nido Carrasco is certainly a big fan and considers the striker as the key piece to strengthen the team. Negotiations are underway to try and make that happen.
Transfermarkt value the Bournemouth striker at €20m but given his situation and the desire to return to La Liga, he could arrive at Nervión for around €10m instead. That would still be an amount Sevilla would find difficult to pay given their current financial difficulties.
The interest is there nonetheless, and talks are already underway as Del Nido Carrasco eyes a big January arrival to boost his team.
