Some of us don’t take defeat very well and it seems Colombian icon Faustino Asprilla is one of them, as he’s decided to target Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo for criticism.
Ole cover comments from the midfielder today in which he labels the Chelsea midfielder as ‘average’ and not worth the price the Blues paid for him.
Caicedo is currently enjoying a strong start to the season for Chelsea under Enzo Maresca, establishing himself as a key player in their positive start under the Italian coach.
The midfielder appears to have thrown off the problems which plagued his first season at Stamford Bridge, with many believing he is finally starting to show the talents which made Chelsea pay €116m for him in August last year.
He’s carried his form into the international break too, playing a key role in the 1-0 win over Colombia after missing the 4-0 win over Bolivia before that through a suspension.
Asprilla was one of those watching but it seems he is no major fan of the Ecuadorian star, making his opinion clear ahead of the game.
“For me he is not a $130 million player, not for me,” Ole report him saying on ESPN’s preview show.
“Does he play well, above average?” his fellow pundits asked him in response to that statement.
“He is average, it is not that he is… A little bit better than Cachaza Hernández,” concluded Asprilla.
