Everton are the ‘most concrete possibility’ for Juventus midfielder Arthur in January as his agents try to find him a move.
That’s according to Tuttosport, relayed by Tuttomercatoweb, who say the Brazilian’s agents are hard at work to secure a departure from Juventus.
The newspaper reports that Arthur will definitely leave Juventus in the January transfer window, and he is looking, through his agent, at the options for the second half of the season.
Marseille in France are particularly keen as Roberto de Zerbi is a big fan of the player and tried to sign him in the summer.
There is also the possibility of a move to the Premier League or La Liga, with Everton and Real Betis also eyeing up a move. When it comes to England, Everton are the ‘most concrete possibility’ at this moment in time.
Either way, Arthur is determined to secure a move to a top five league in Europe and has already rejected the hypothesis of returning to Brazil. He also rejected offers from Greece and Turkey in the summer transfer window.
Whether he’d fancy a return to Merseyside with Everton after his miserable spell at Liverpool remains to be seen.
This, though, is now the latest in a long line of reports linking Arthur with Everton, which would suggest there is at least some fire producing this smoke and he’s a name to keep an eye on moving forwards.
