There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray are showing interest in Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
The Turkish champions will be in the market for a new goalkeeper next summer with Fernando Muslera’s contract expiring at the end of the season. The Uruguay international is unlikely to remain with the Istanbul side beyond this campaign and is expected to return to his home country for family reasons.
Sabah have reported on Galatasaray’s pursuit of the Liverpool star, and they say first contact has been made in their attempt to bring in the Brazil No.1. Cimbom are said to be closely monitoring the situation with the former AS Roma keeper ahead of the summer window.
In the summer the Anfield club secured Giorgi Mamardashvili form Valencia, where he’s remained on loan, and it’s expected the Georgia international will be Arne Slot’s first choice next season.
However, Galatasaray will expect to face competition to sign the 32-year-old, with reports a number of clubs being linked with the Brazilian.
Alisson has made just eight appearances for the Reds this season due to injury and is contracted until June 2027.
