With less than 24 hours left for the summer window to close, Nottingham Forest are still in the market to make more additions to their squad.

Earlier today, we carried a report from Foot Mercato, who explained the Tricky Trees are close to signing Rennes’ Loïc Badé.

It was also stated Nottingham Forest are in pole position to secure the defender’s services amid the likes of Southampton, Aston Villa and FC Augsburg looking at him.

Le Parisien journalist Benjamin Quarez now provides a fresh update on this case as he states the 22-year-old has travelled to England and is ‘waiting in Nottingham’, to see if his move to join Steve Cooper’s side will take shape.

Quarez’s claim has been further backed up by RMC Sport, who took to Twitter to say the centre-back ‘will be a Nottingham Forest player’ this season, unless there is a last minute surprise.

Having arrived in England, Badé will join the Premier League side on a loan deal with an option to buy set at €14m, if Forest manage to stay in the top flight this term.
