Aston Villa‘s Ibrahim Mbaye will look to avoid putting pressure on himself like he did whilst at Paris Saint-Germain.
The France-born Senegal international left PSG and completed a permanent move to Villa Park on deadline day.
Aston Villa have reportedly invested around €55m to secure his services, and he’s yet to make his debut for his new club.
The 18-year-old hasn’t made an appearance this season. Prior to his sale to the Villans, PSG manager Luis Enrique had left him out of the squad.

Ibrahim Mbaye came up through the ranks of PSG’s academy and made his first team debut in 2024.
He managed four goals and four assists from 1,518 minutes from 42 matches for the Champions League winners.
The new Aston Villa player gave a detailed interview to Cheikh Footstyle and Onze Mondial have relayed his comments. Their title says the attacker’s ‘regrets after his departure’ from the French club.
Last season, he was competing with Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué, Gonçalo Ramos and Bradley Barcola for a place in Luis Enrique’s attack. The latter two have joined AC Milan and Liverpool respectively in the summer.

Ibrahim Mbaye reveals his desire to be better than the aforementioned players at PSG ended up putting pressure on himself.
“At PSG, things weren’t necessarily going the way I wanted. I put a certain amount of pressure on myself that I shouldn’t have,” he said.
“I saw great players like Dembélé, Kvara, Désiré, Bradley, Gonçalo, great strikers, and I kept thinking, ‘I have to do better than them’.”
The player can only learn from his ‘regrets’ to avoid repeating the same mistake with Unai Emery’s side.
“You have to learn from them. The more you train, the more you play with them, the more you’ll understand things you didn’t understand before,” Mbaye explained.
The attacker won every domestic competition and two Champions League titles with the Paris club.
