Tottenham Hotspur are the latest Premier League side to be linked with Galatasaray defender Roland Sallai.
The Hungary international has been on the radar of a number of English top-fight clubs in recent weeks, including Nottingham Forest.
Tottenham Hotspur approach
Fanatik report on the latest developments regarding Sallai’s future at Galatasaray. The right back could be offloaded by the Super Lig champions this summer if a club meets the player’s valuation.
Tottenham are now in the running for the right back as Roberto De Zerbi’s looks to bolster his defence.
With the departure of Djed Spence to Inter Milan, the Italian coach wants to bring in an experienced full back before next week’s deadline.
Tottenham have made an approach for Sallai and have asked for the conditions of the transfer. Spurs will continue to monitor his situation, with Gala open to selling for the right price.
At this stage there is no indication what the north London side will be prepared to pay for the Hungarian. However, earlier in the transfer window there were reports Galatasaray were looking for a substantial offer.
Nottingham Forest interest
We covered reports in May that Nottingham Forest were showing interest in Sallai, but his club would only consider bids of €25m or above.
At the time it was stated their manager Okan Buruk wanted to keep hold of the player. However, his situation has changed in recent weeks following Premier League interest.
Along with Tottenham and Forest, Sunderland, Fulham, Liverpool and Hull City have all been linked.
Galatasaray paid €6m to sign Sallai from SC Freiburg last summer and is contracted until June 2028.
Last season he made 47 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal.
