Nottingham Forest have emerged as a new contender to sign Galatasaray’s Roland Sallai in the summer.
The Hungary international received Premier League interest in the winter market but a move never took shape.
In February, Sport Witness covered claims from Turkey that Liverpool and Sunderland both failed to sign the right-back in January.
The same source also covered Brentford’s interest, with it uncertain whether the Reds and the Black Cats would return for him. It’s unclear whether the Bees are still keen, but Nottingham Forest now joined the transfer race.
Vítor Pereira, who arrived at the City Ground in February, has helped the Reds stay in the Premier League. They will play their last match of the season against AFC Bournemouth on Sunday.
Nottingham Forest keen on fullback
Takvim report Nottingham Forest are working on potential signings and have Roland Sallai on their agenda.
Fotomaç took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report Takvim’s claim of the English club are interested in the 28-year-old.
The Turkish champions seem to be open to sanctioning a sale and are expecting to collect €25m.
NTV Spor relay this and add that Nottingham Forest ‘want’ him. Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk ‘absolutely wants to’ hold on to the defender.
There is a conflict between the Istanbul club and their coach over Sallai. This may delay any potential summer move to Nottingham Forest, provided they are willing to meet the €25m price.
The player’s stance on leaving the club isn’t mentioned.
