Brighton & Hove Albion are in the picture to sign US Cremonese’s Adin Ličina and are laying the groundwork for a potential move in the winter market.
The Italian club dropped to Serie B and signed the 19-year-old on loan from Juventus in the summer window. His performances and potential saw a few clubs, including Brighton, take notice.
Juventus signed the winger from Bayern Munich in February, and he’s yet to make his first team debut. Therefore, the Old Lady sent him on loan to Cremonese to enjoy more game time, to continue his development.
Operating in his preferred role on the right wing, he scored two goals and contributed one assist from seven matches. That may have been enough to attract Brighton’s attention.
Brighton and RB Leipzig keen
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports about the Seagulls and RB Leipzig’s interest in the youngster. Adin Ličina is ‘under special observation’, and he immediately names Brighton & Hove Albion and the German club as his suitors.
The teenager’s displays for US Cremonese aren’t going unnoticed as several foreign clubs, ‘particularly Brighton and Leipzig’, are keen. These two clubs have already set their sights on Adin Ličina.
The Premier League side and Leipzig have monitored his performances and statistics and will continue to do so, likely until the next window opens.
Juventus have to decide about his future in January, if Fabian Hürzeler’s side or another club were to make a strong push for his signature. Di Marzio makes no mention of their plan for him.

Fee unlikely to be high for Brighton
The Germany U19 international’s contract with the Turin club runs down in 2029, and Transfermarkt value him at €10m. This is the highest value of his career so far as it was €1.8m in June.
Taking this into account, Brighton & Hove Albion may not need a fee much higher fee to secure his services.
For now, the English club continue to keep a close watch on Adin Ličina, ahead of the January window. There could be more developments if he were to extend his form until the end of this year.
Besides the Juventus man, Brighton have Boca Juniors’ Leonel Flores on their agenda. Last week, Sport Witness covered a report from Argentina explaining that Boca president Juan Román Riquelme is taking measures to stop the Seagulls from snatching Flores.
