Coventry City are ready to send Miguel Brau out on loan, just months after the defender helped them win promotion to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old is heading to Portugal, where A Bola claim local side Académico de Viseu now close to getting a deal over the line.

The Spanish left-back is expected to join the Portuguese second division club on loan from Coventry.
There’s no mention of a purchase option at this stage. That would leave the Sky Blues with control over his future beyond this season.
For now, though, getting him some regular football elsewhere looks like the plan. Miguel Brau played 11 times for Coventry last season under Frank Lampard and had his part in their promotion campaign.
The step up to the Premier League has clearly changed the picture. Brau wasn’t a regular in the Championship, so finding enough minutes at a higher level was always going to be difficult.
Académico de Viseu have now offered him a way out of that situation. A Bola says the Portuguese side are “about to secure” the Spaniard as a new addition to their defence.
A move that makes sense for Coventry
This looks pretty straightforward from Coventry’s point of view. Miguel Brau needs to play, and Lampard would have found it difficult to offer him that this season.
This could even make room for potentially signing Francisco Moura, who was previously a target for Coventry.
Sending him out on loan gives the defender a chance to get regular minutes without Coventry having to make a permanent decision on him now.
The Spaniard made his name with Granada before moving to England, so this will be another change of country for him.
At 24, sitting around waiting for the odd appearance wouldn’t do him much good. Everything now points towards Portugal being his next stop, with the deal described as close to completion.
