Galatasaray and Trabzonspor want Tottenham Hotspur‘s Richarlison in January and are already working behind the scenes to secure his services.

The Brazil international is in his final year of contract and has no future at Spurs under Roberto De Zerbi. He had options to leave in the summer window, but a move never took shape.

Tottenham signed the forward from Everton in 2022, and his former club tried bringing him back in August. David Moyes’ side weren’t able to agree adeal.

De Zerbi subsequently left Richarlison out of his Premier League squad and has no plans to utilise him in cup competitions.

Richarlison had options to return to Brazil as their window closed on September 11th. He had explored the possibility of terminating his contract with the north London club last month.

Spurs weren’t in favour of this, and Vasco da Gama, who made a concrete push, walked away from signing him. Since then, he hasn’t made a senior appearance for Roberto De Zerbi’s side.

Earlier this week, the attacker featured in Tottenham Hotspur U21’s EFL Trophy defeat to Cheltenham Town. He has to leave Spurs in January to enjoy regular minutes and ESPN in Brazil cover the latest.

Spurs soften stance

With his contract expiring in 2027, the English club requested €20-25m in the summer.

They won’t be able to collect anywhere close to this figure in January because of a lack of minutes and the player’s contract situation. Tottenham Hotspur, who are ‘willing to facilitate’ his sale, have lowered the price to €10m.

Richarlison has options to continue in Europe as Galatasaray and Trabzonspor are showing interest. Journalist Bruno Andrade, who covered this report for ESPN, states ‘talks are ongoing’ with the two Turkish clubs behind the scenes.

Trabzonspor had carried out direct negotiations with Spurs in the summer window but weren’t able to proceed.

The new price could favour them to make a fresh attempt in the winter market. It will also increase competition as a few other clubs would join them and Galatasaray.
