Rangers manager Derek McInnes risks losing Nicolas Raskin as Beşiktaş want to sign the Ibrox man and West Ham United‘s Konstantinos Mavropanos in the winter market.

The Turkish club have repeatedy tried to take the midfielder away from Rangers. Despite the past failures, they have no intention of giving up on signing Raskin.

Besides the Ibrox player, the Black Eagles also have the West Ham defender on their target list.

Rangers and West Ham players desired

The Istanbul club are looking at the UK to bring in reinforcements in January and Takvim state their focus is on Nicolas Raskin and the West Ham United man.

Their interest in the Rangers player isn’t new and they’ve already failed to sign him on three occasions. The last was during the summer window.

Towards the end of that window, the Belgium international came close to joining Beşiktaş before the move collapsed at the final stage. Last month, the 25-year-old midfielder said he wanted to leave Derek McInnes’ side.

He said: “It is a bit of a disappointment, because I was mentally ready to leave. But that’s football, and it’s not a big deal. There are many factors and off-field issues to consider when it comes to a transfer.”

Beşiktaş are back in the mix and preparing to make their fourth attempt to take him away from Ibrox. They signed his compatriot, Leandro Trossard from Arsenal, in the summer.

Vincenzo Italiano’s side plan to use Trossard in their next attempt to secure Raskin’s services. Rangers, for their part, are open to letting him leave in the next window. With a contract until 2028, there are talks of a €15m price.

Director watched West Ham man

Konstantinos Mavropanos is also a target for the Istanbul club. Their director, Eduard Graf, watched him live in Greece’s clash against Germany during the last international break.

The two nations clashed twice, first in Augsburg in September and then in Greece. The German director watched the defender last month.

Beşiktaş are preparing to contact West Ham United to find out the conditions needed to secure the 28-year-old Greece international’s services.

The centre-back has made 11 appearances this season, even managing five goals and an assist. His contract also expires in 2028, and it’s unlikely for Nuno Espírito Santo or West Ham to sanction a move in the winter market.
