According to a claim in the Turkish media, Beşiktaş remain interested in Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin.

A regular since the arrival of Danny Röhl at Ibrox, the Belgium international was linked with a move to the Istanbul side in October.

At that time it was stated the Turkish side could make a January attempt.

Sporx report on Beşiktaş’ pursuit for the Rangers player.

The Turkish club’s manager Sergen Yalcin wants to sign a midfielder in January after Gedson Fernandes left in the summer.

Sporx report Beşiktaş are looking to convince Raskin to sign for them during the next window. Their cunning plan? Simply to offer a big salary.

There’s confidence Rangers could look to offload him despite being first choice under Röhl. The transfer would be on the basis of a loan with a mandatory purchase clause.

The Turkish media are often overly-confident about the chances of signing a player. That would appear to be the case again here, especially in January.

Raskin has made 26 appearances this season and is contracted to Rangers until June 2027. Beşiktaş will likely have a better chance of a deal if they wait until the summer.
