Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries would snub any approach from West Ham United should they make one.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport. They cover the full-back today and how he’s not interested in a move o West Ham despite them being keen.
Dumfries has decided to part ways with super-agent Jorge Mendes. It’s unclear who will become his successor. Ali Barat is in the running but not confirmed.
What the change of agents does mean is that the defender is reflecting on his future. Most see it as a sign he’s on his way out, as why would he change agent if he’s happy at Inter?
He has a €25m release clause in his current deal. That technically expired in mid-July but it’s a special “cyclical” clause that effectively repeats every year. So, it will be valid for next summer as well.
If a big club arrives and makes an offer, Dumfries is open to the idea. If a team such as West Ham comes in, he will stay in Milan. Gazzetta say that has already happened. In other words, West Ham have made proposals and he’s turned them down.
It seems he’s not keen on the London Stadium, despite seemingly angling for a move with a big change of agent.
