Famalicão’s Rodrigo Pinheiro is on his way to join Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

The English club have already made changes following their relegation from the Premier League.

Wolves have completed the signings of Kieran Trippier and Raúl Jiménez on free transfers and parted ways with Rob Edwards.

Gil Vicente manager César Peixoto is set to fill the vacancy.

Two days ago, Sport Witness covered claims from Portugal of Wolves working on this appointment for a month.

Jorge Mendes represents the manager and was working on José Mourinho’s move to Real Madrid. This has delayed Peixoto’s arrival at Molineux.

Peixoto already involved in Wolves transfers

Wolves are yet to officially appoint César Peixoto as their manager but there’s action behind the scenes.

That’s according to Flashscore in Portugal, who state the English club will soon appoint Peixoto as their new manager.

The latest claims in UK stated Kieran Trippier could quickly end his time at Wolves following Rob Edwards’ exit.

Wolves have made advances to sign Famalicão right-back Rodrigo Pinheiro.  Claims from Greece mention Olympiacos interest in the 23-year-old but Flashscore say Wolves is his next destination.

Peixoto has already given his approval to go ahead with this transfer, and the Portuguese fullback is now ‘very close’ to joining Wolves. If this report is to be true, it’s fair to assume the player is also open to a summer move to England.

There’s no mention of the fee that Wolves are offering or the type of operation [loan or permanent]. This should be made clear soon.
