Juventus don’t want to be left out of the developing European race for Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi. Indeed, they want everyone to know that they’re in the picture.
The Bournemouth striker has a growing list of admirers in Europe at this moment in time, after shining in the Premier League last season.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a debut season in England that was nothing short of historic after arriving for £10m from FC Lorient.
After finding his footing under Andoni Iraola, he ended the campaign with 13 goals in 33 appearances in the league and plenty of admiring glances.
That tally, by the way, was the most Premier League goals scored by a teenager in their debut season in the Premier League.
Transfer interest
Various reports have since put most of Europe’s biggest sides into the picture for him. A report at the beginning of October, for example, stated that Barcelona are watching closely.
Kroupi then encouraged such transfer talk in comments reported by Sport Witness last month.
“I’m going to give everything to play for the biggest clubs in the world, in the best leagues in the world,” he said when asked about potential big moves in future.
That was potential encouragement for the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal, who reports have also linked.
Juventus want in
Now Juventus can be added to the list. TuttoJuve cover them today and insist that the Italian giants should not be forgotten in the developing race either.
The outlet states that Juventus are tracking the Bournemouth striker closely. They are on the hunt for young forwards who offer both quality and long-term potential. Kroupi certainly falls into that bracket.
He is one of the players to have caught the Bianconeri’s attention with his performances at Bournemouth to date.
They see the youngster as one of the most exciting prospects in the Premier League and they are following his situation closely. The feeling is that the Bournemouth man has several compelling aspects to encourage a transfer.
Chief among them is the fact that he can play as a centre-forward, operate on the flans or play just behind the main striker. That versatility makes him an especially attractive target for Juventus.
They are desperately seeking more unpredictability and cutting edge in the final third. Now they want everyone to remember they exist in the battle for one of Europe’s top talents.
